Nazir Habib, MD

In medical school, Nazir Habib, MD, feared working with critically ill patients. Yet he worked so hard to conquer his fear that he’s now one of the foremost practitioners and educators in this specialized field.

Dr. Habib played a lead role in bringing Fundamentals of Critical Care Support Certification (FCCS) to TPMG’s hospital-based physicians. This certification, part of the criteria used by the Leapfrog Group to evaluate hospitals, established TPMG as a leader in critical care support.

He has been instrumental in organizing FCCS courses for all TPMG physicians who care for hospitalized patients and has developed successful strategies to evaluate course effectiveness.

Dr. Habib is a key contributor at national conferences where he generously shares his methods for improving and expanding the FCCS program.
