John Husokowski, MD

Residents who study with John Husokowski, MD, receive far more than clinical knowledge. Simply by observing this outstanding physician, they learn how to lead, innovate and contribute to each other and the medical world at large.

As Director of the Oakland Kaiser Permanente Ob/Gyn Residency Program in the 1990s, he helped guide the move of Ob/Gyn inpatient care from the Oakland Medical Center to Alta Bates Hospital.

Always seeking to further enhance resident education, he developed a course in his subspecialty of urogynecology, a field in which residents receive little or no training in medical school.

He created an innovative course called “Critical Review of the Literature” to help residents keep pace.
