He and his colleagues successfully minimized wait times, reduced admissions, and enhanced patient care—all while improving work life and positioning his team members for success.
“I’m really proud of the way we changed the culture in our emergency department,” says Dr. Lin. “We created opportunities for people to take ownership and collaborate with one another—to work really well together and help each other to be the best they can be.”
As APIC of Risk and Technology, Dr. Lin is a resource for his colleagues with challenging situations. During the pandemic, his forward thinking and technology expertise helped the medical center remain highly functional despite the myriad challenges faced. “It’s changed the way we deliver healthcare,” he says, “And I think we’re going to be stronger because of it.”
