Raymond Hilsinger, MD

Many of the country’s best head and neck surgeons have one thing in common and that’s the exceptional training and guidance they received from one man, Raymond Hilsinger, MD.

From 1972 to 2002, Dr. Hilsinger served as director of Oakland’s Head and Neck Surgery Residency Program, now highly regarded as one of the premier residencies in the country.

His superbly-trained residents achieved a 100% board pass rate and averaged in the 95th percentile nationally on the Annual Otolaryngology Examination. Nine graduates went on to serve as Department Chiefs at Kaiser Permanente medical centers in Northern California.

Dr. Hilsinger’s skill in preparing residents for board certification and mentoring them beyond graduation has earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and grateful residents.
