A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society and Physicians for Social Responsibility, Arnd Herz, MD, is a multifaceted clinician and researcher.

He was recognized for his groundbreaking work on the benchmark Rochester Criteria (RC) and its changing relevance in a post Pneumococcal Vaccine landscape, reported in “Changing Epidemiology of Outpatient Bacteremia in 3-36 month-old Children After the Introduction of the Heptavalent-Conjugated Pneumococcal Vaccine.” (The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, 2006).

Dr. Herz also co-founded and contributes time and energy to the House of Stone, a charitable organization that supports AIDS orphans in Africa.
