Katherine Brubaker, MD, is a gifted lecturer who shares her expertise with residents at Santa Clara and Oakland. A widely recognized authority on menopausal health issues, she has been an Oral Board examiner for the American Board of Ob/Gyn since 1999 and the Director of Resident Research for the Santa Clara Ob/Gyn Residency Program since 2002.
A recipient of national teaching awards, Dr. Brubaker has mentored an entire generation of residents and elevated the stature of her program. Among her residents, "brubaker" is a verb: to be "brubed" is to be persistently and supportively encouraged to complete one’s research project.
In addition, she is known as an excellent teacher on labor and delivery, in the operating room, and in resident office practice.
