Harold Farber, MD

An award-winning pediatric pulmonologist and nationally known asthma specialist, Harold Farber, MD, has served as a consultant to community asthma coalitions, the American Lung Association of California, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

He’s also the co-author of the book Control Your Child’s Asthma (Henry Holt, 2001).

In 2006, he received the Morris F. Collen Research Award for his article “Trial of an Asthma Education Program in an Inner-City Pediatric Emergency Department,” which evaluated the effect of an asthma education and management intervention for Medicaid-insured children.

Dr. Farber is passionate about teaching both children and parents knowledge and skills to be in control of their asthma, as well as the dangers of second hand smoke exposure.
